Ayushman Bharat, therefore, focuses on two components:
Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs); to bring health care closer to the community. Under this, the government launched an App version of the AB-HWC portal with the idea of Digital first. In addition to this, the ‘Fit Health Worker’ Campaign was launched at the AB-HWCs to enable the screening and early detection of non-communicable diseases in the Frontline-Health Care Workers
Setting up of ICMR-DHR Centers of Excellence at IITs:
It is also equally important to foster a good ecosystem of research and development, especially when it comes to health and wellness. The government of India, under this goal, has set up ICMR-DHR Centers of Excellence at IITs.
